Uppsala municipality divests Kvarnengallerian
Uppsala Kommuns Fastighets AB has signed an agreement regarding the divestment of the Kvarngärdet 35:4 property located in Uppsala, also known as Kvarnengallerian. Purchasers are ALM Equity AB and Andersson Company AB, who aquire the property through jointly owned company. The underlying propert value amounts to SEK 248 million.
The property is located on Vaksala torg in central Uppsala. On the property there are five buildings, with retail premises on street level and residential premises above. Total lettable area, excluding garage, is 16,535 square metres, of which 66 per cent residential premises. Remaining area comprises mainly retail and restaurants.
The purchasers commit to preserving the rental apartments in the property.
The transaction is conditioned by, and will be legally binding following formal approval by the municipal council of Uppsala.
Catella Corporate Finance and Ahlford Advokatbyrå have been advisors to Uppsala Kommuns Fastighets AB in its sale of the property.
